Little Lily is suffering from seasonal allergies. This isn't new, it's happened every March/April and October/November for the last three years or so.
Both ears are infected and her paws are so raw she limps. We're off to the vet on Tuesday to (1) get some immediate relief and (2) talk about some permanent solutions.
Thinking she may be allergic to something in her food, I've tried eliminating wheat and corn (didn't help), then eliminated all grains (didn't help), so now I want to get a little more scientific and visit the dermatologist for allergy tests. I'm giving her Benadryl twice a day to help eliminate some of her symptoms, but I'll be relieved to get her to the vet.
I feel so badly for her - she looks miserable, only going outside to do her business and then heading straight back to the house. Nemo, Tango, and Rocky are whooping it up and all she wants to do is go back inside and lay down. Hopefully Tuesday will bring her some relief.
