The garden is just about ready! I got my first cherry tomatoes out last week, and there will be some full sized Better Boy's and Mr. Stripey's later this week! And the cucumbers are full steam ahead as well!
Last week I took Tango with me to the garden - his first visit to the garden this season. He's a real vegetable lover. Tomatoes and cukes are his favorites. He'll pick them right off the vine and eat them in the garden, still warm from the sun. A dog after my heart, I'll tell you...
As we approached the garden I could see his excitement growing. He stuck his nose deep into the cucumber vines looking for a ripe, delicious cuke. Coming up empty handed (mouthed?), he decided to give the tomato plants a try to see if they were bearing any fruit. Nothing but green tomatoes at the moment, so it was sort of a bust for him.
I did walk back down to the garden just this morning and picked a cucumber for him -- it's still a bit small, but he enjoyed it, small or not!
